ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION: A CONCERN FOR ENVIRONMENTALIST

 The fact that mother Earth has continually remained the only planet that supports life (basically plants&animals) is no news. The Earth has been faithful in performing its duty of constantly aiding existence with its suitable equilibrium of resources embedded in the environment. The Environment comprises of the Lithosphere (land),Atmosphere (air),Hydrosphere (water) and Biosphere (living components)which are of significant use to mankind.
In contrast to the faithfulness of mother Earth, a large proportion of the human race have always had an exploitation mindset as regarding the Earth's resources with  no plans for a just payback to mother Earth for its faithful stewardship that has span about 2billion years and still counting.

 Sustainable development is been forfeited by many and the human race might have to pay for its negligence in full in the very near future (although it seems the payback time has started).

  For this reason, I and my well meaning colleagues devotedly join our voice with all other environmentalist across the globe to say : 'IT'S TIME FOR EVERYONE TO CONTRIBUTE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION.

 To this end I say do your own part and let me do my own part in conserving our environment. Let us preach and support the gospel of environmental conservation. Therefore, I support THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE 2018.

JAMB 2018 UTME Registration Begins This November, Over 617 Centres To Be Used

The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB)has revealed that the 2018 JAMB UTME Registration Form will be available before the end of November. According to him, the board is planning to meet with all stakeholders on November 15 and the sale of the registration document will definitely commence before the end of this month. He advised candidates to check the  JAMB syllabus  and  Brochure  so that they can study the process and minimise the errors that usually occurs during the registration process. Only 30% of 2017 UTME Candidates Will Be Admitted – NUC

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has said only 30 per cent of the 1.7 million candidates who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, will be admitted this year due to limited spaces in the universities.   The executive secretary of the commission, Abubakar Rasheed, was quoted as saying this at a one-day public hearing on the regulatory conflict between JAMB and universities in offering admission in Nigeria. The hearing was organised by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund on Tuesday. Mr. Rasheed said the limited spaces in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions have made admission crisis inevitable. Mr. Oloyede said most of the candidates, who sit for its examination annually do not have the required qualification to gain admission. “It is not true that we have 1.7 million candidates that are ready to go into the Nigerian university system. This is to inform the general public that online application for admission into the 70th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna has commenced. Admission into NDA is open to both Male and Female Nigerians. Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Application for Admission for the 70th Regular Course Screening Test Date and Requirements The screening test will be conducted as phase one of the Post-UTME screening and is scheduled to hold on "Saturday 19th May, 2018" Therefore, all eligible candidates are to bring along their Acknowledgement Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB result slip and TWO (2) postcard sized (35 x 5 inches) photographs to the Screening Test Centre.
